The Applied Safeguarding Training (level 2) aims to provide learners with a deeper understanding of key safeguarding content and the skills to identify safeguarding risks, implement safeguards for church ministries, services and activities, and effectively respond to safeguarding concerns and incidents.

The training is designed for Archdiocesan personnel, including clergy, religious, employees and volunteers, whose role mainly involves delivering ministries, services or activities with children and vulnerable adults on behalf of the Archdiocese.

The Safeguarding Essentials Presentation (level 1) is a pre-requisite for this training. Those who are not confirmed as having viewed the presentation cannot register for this training.

Scheduled training dates and registration information will be released in March 2019. More information on dates will be updated on this website, with registration to be completed by your local Parish or Catholic Cultural Community.

Once completed, the training will be registered with the People & Culture (HR) office.
